My name is Caroline Tan and I am from Singapore.
My son Andrew who came to an earlier workshop in Jan 2013 passed me a copy of Paida and Lajin Self-Healing written by Master Hongchi Xiao. I read it with keen interest and enthusiasm, and finished reading very quickly. I told my son I was interested, and he immediately signed me up for this workshop. My purpose was to learn how to do Paida and Lajin properly to enhance my health.
I had 3 major car accidents. The first was in 1974 when I was carrying my son Andrew. I was about 8.5 months pregnant then. My sister-in-law was driving and I was at the passenger seat. I was thrown out down to the river bank along the Federal Highway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The baby did not move and I was sent to General Hospital and later to Assunta Hospital. I had an injury on my forehead as well as my left elbow (several stitches). There were smashed glasses from the car on my forehead.
I was admitted and stayed in the hospital for 1 week. I went home and one week later was re-admitted again for delivery of my son. It was a normal delivery. Discharged and on the 5th day I had a very severe bleeding with big huge blood clots and was re-admitted again on an emergency. Dilation and Curettage (D&C) was done on me.
In 1992 I was thrown off the horse in Polo Club in Singapore while riding and broke my ribs.
I had another major car accident in Bali in 1996. The driver hit a big trunk. I injured my left forehead and right knee (7 stitches). My forehead had a big lump like half the size of an egg. It was completely black in color. My knee injury took many months to recover as there was fluid inside. My son Andrew had to carry me twice a day once from my bedroom to the living room downstairs in the morning and he carried me upstairs to my bedroom at night.
Through the years, I had 3 accidents which took a toll on my body and health.
I am very diligent with my exercise regime throughout my life even when I was young. I swim, cycle, do yoga, Tai Chi, did Jane Fonda and aerobics, boating, dancing
In general, I am a very sporty and active person and I take care of my health.
Now, because of my old injuries, a few sicknesses have manifested. I have very bad aching shoulder blades and pain on my left ear to my chin, headaches (occasionally), shortness of breath, palpitation and hypertension.
Ever since my son bought the Lajin bench for me which was 7 weeks ago, I have been diligently doing it twice a day for 20 minutes with light weights on my leg at home. I find much improvement in my health as the pains of shoulder blades were gone and I can sleep deeper and better.
During the 6-day intensive workshop, I had a few healing crises like discomfort and a lot of gas in my stomach, very cold and sweating hands and feet. On the 4th day, I woke up with very heavy congested chest and palpitation. I went down for the Zen jogging at 6:30a.m. It started to drizzle and we came back. The chest was beating so fast — it was an experience I’ve never encountered before. Ms. Chuah and trainer Huang started to Paida my left wrist. My condition improved immediately.
I had very stiff and aching shoulder blades and stiff neck and on the 6th day after Paida, I slept well and my frequent urination of at least 6-8 times per night for many years was reduced to only 3 times.
My blood pressure was stable/normalised without medication (which I had been taking for 2 years). When I arrived 7 days ago, it was 108/68 with medication and Lajin. Today it is at an average of 123/78 without medication.
I noticed the wrinkle around my forehead has decreased as well.
Paida and Lajin self-healing methods are a gift from God for each and every one of us who is willing to learn and do it on a daily basis as it benefits and is self-healing.
Apparently being active in sports and exercises on a daily basis does not cure or get to the roots of my illness. It is self realisation into your inner body illness and by practicing Paida and Lajin diligently, one will get rid of the root problems without relying on medication.
I will share the self-healing methods with friends/relatives and family members as well as introduce/promote to as many people with illnesses so that they will be aware that they can heal themselves without medication — like how Master Xiao puts it “My Health, I Manage”.
I thank the trainers Xiu and Huang and helper Madam Sim and most of all the organiser Ms. Chuah. At the same time I am grateful and thankful to my fellow workshop friends who encouraged me and went through the same healing process as myself.
